Your Crystalline Body - Moving into Spring

The Crystalline Body by lori wayfair

A Practice of Awakening, Renewal & Seasonal Attunement

For the Quickening Season - Early Spring

"Over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of an expanse, shining like awe-inspiring crystal" -
Ezekiel 1:22

You are not simply in the world. You are a tuned instrument resonating with it.

The human body is not simply a biological machine. It is a living crystalline system - structured at every level to receive, store, and transmit energy with extraordinary coherence. Understanding this changes how you inhabit yourself.

Your bones and teeth contain hydroxyapatite, a calcium phosphate crystal arranged in precise mineral lattices. Your skeleton is not inert scaffolding - it is a living, constantly remodeling crystal structure, responsive to every pressure and signal you place upon it. Every step you take sends crystalline vibration upward through your frame. Every time you stand, you are a mineral pillar in communication with the earth.

Nestled within your inner ear are tiny calcium carbonate crystals called otoconia. These are your body's gravity sensors - microscopic crystal instruments that orient you to the earth at every moment. You carry your own internal compass, built entirely from crystal, spinning quietly inside you at all times.

The pineal gland, long called the third eye across spiritual traditions from Ancient Egypt to Descartes to the Vedic seers, contains calcite microcrystals. Researchers have confirmed their structural presence and proposed that they may be piezoelectric - capable of generating electrical charge under pressure. What the mystics sensed intuitively, science is only beginning to approach.

Your DNA exists in a liquid crystalline state. This means it does not simply store genetic code -it organizes and transmits biological information with coherence, precision, and a structural elegance that only crystalline systems can achieve. It is ordered like a crystal, fluid like water, and alive like nothing else on earth.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body. It forms the scaffolding of your skin, tendons, bones, cartilage, and connective tissue. And it is piezoelectric. When compressed or stretched, it generates electrical fields. This means your body is continuously producing bioelectric signals in response to movement, pressure, breath, and touch - exactly as a crystal oscillator does in precision electronics.
Every movement you make is also an electrical event. Your body is always broadcasting.

Your body is sixty to seventy percent water. But the water inside and around your cells does not behave like water in a glass. Biophysicist Gerald Pollack at the University of Washington has described what he calls the fourth phase of water - a structured, gel-like state found throughout living tissue that stores and transmits energy coherently rather than randomly.
You are not mostly water. You are mostly structured water - which is something extraordinary.

The fascial system is your body's connective tissue matrix - a seamless, unbroken web that surrounds every muscle, organ, nerve, and bone without exception. Biophysicist Mae-Wan Ho explored fascia as a continuous crystalline semiconductor network, transmitting both mechanical and electromagnetic information nearly instantaneously throughout the entire body.
Fascia is the medium through which touch, breath, intention, and physical sensation travel at speeds the nervous system alone cannot account for.

A crystal is a structured system that receives, stores, and transmits energy in coherent, ordered ways.
Your body does all three. You are not just in the physical world - you are a tuned instrument resonating with it.

This
practice is designed for the threshold of early spring - one of the most potent transition windows in the natural calendar. Every living system on earth recognizes this moment, even when the mind does not consciously register it.

As winter releases its hold, your biology begins to shift in ways that are measurable, real, and profound.

• Light is changing. Days are lengthening and the wavelength of morning sunlight is shifting. Your pineal gland registers this before your eyes fully do. Melatonin begins to ease. Serotonin begins to rise. Your circadian rhythm, which compressed inward all winter, starts to expand outward again.
• The earth is warming. If you walk barefoot or spend time outdoors, your body's conductive relationship with the ground is changing beneath you. The electromagnetic field of the soil shifts with temperature and moisture. Your crystalline fascia and collagen respond.
• The quickening. In older agricultural and seasonal traditions, early spring was called the quickening - the moment when earth energy that descended all autumn and winter begins to move upward again. Plants feel it first. Then animals. Then us. Your body is not separate from this movement.
• Barometric shifts. As weather patterns change in the weeks around the equinox, pressure changes affect your body's fluid dynamics - the liquid crystal of your cellular water, your inner ear crystals, your connective tissue. You may feel this as heightened sensitivity, restlessness, or vivid dreams. It is your body recalibrating.
• The invitation to seed. Every culture across history has understood early spring as the time to plant - not only literally, but intentionally. What seeds of vision, desire, and becoming are you ready to place into the fertile ground of your body and your life?

❤Before you begin, create a container that signals to your body and your senses that something intentional is happening. This does not need to be elaborate. It needs only to be yours.

You may do this practice at a personal altar, in a quiet room, outdoors in nature, or simply in a comfortable corner where you will not be disturbed. The most important quality is that it feels like a held space - somewhere your nervous system can soften and open.

❤Take a few moments to clear the energy of your space and your own field.

• Rosemary - One of the great cleansing and clarifying herbs. Its sharp, resinous scent clears stagnant energy and sharpens mental clarity. Burn dried rosemary or bruise a fresh sprig between your palms and breathe it deeply.
• Pine or Cedar - Both are powerfully grounding and forest-fresh. Pine needles burned or simply placed nearby carry the energy of ancient standing trees — steady, deep-rooted, and clear. Cedar is used across many indigenous traditions for purification and protection.
• Bay Leaves - Writing an intention on a dried bay leaf and burning it is a time-honored practice for releasing what no longer serves and welcoming what is coming. Bay smoke is clearing and warm.
• Sage - White sage, garden sage, or blue sage all carry cleansing properties. Move the smoke gently around yourself from feet upward, and around your tools, candle, and journal. Breathe slowly and let the smoke carry away what you no longer need.
• Apple Blossom or Apple Branch - Apple is a classic spring and renewal symbol across Celtic and many other traditions. A small branch or dried blossoms placed nearby brings the energy of new growth, sweetness, and beginning.
• Lavender - Calming, opening, and clarifying. Can be burned, placed near you, or added to a dish of water beside your space. Lavender softens the nervous system and invites a meditative state without effort.

Prepare something warm and seasonal to hold in your hands or sip before, during, or after your practice. This grounds the experience in the physical and signals to your body that nourishment and care are present.

• Fresh ginger with lemon and raw honey - warming, clarifying, and deeply cleansing after winter. Ginger activates circulation; lemon brightens and detoxifies; honey is sweet medicine.
• Green tea with mint - green tea carries the spirit of new growth; mint is awakening and fresh.
• Dandelion root tea - dandelion is one of the first plants to rise in spring. Drinking it is a way of aligning yourself with the season's first movement. Slightly bitter and deeply cleansing.
• Tulsi (Holy Basil) with rose - tulsi harmonizes the nervous system; rose opens the heart.
• Simply warm lemon water - the most unadorned choice. Clear, bright, clean.
• Nettle and oat straw infusion - both are deeply mineral-rich spring tonics that nourish the bones and connective tissue.

You may wish to gather a few meaningful objects to anchor your space. None of these are required. Choose only what feels true to you.

 • A candle - flame carries attention inward and marks sacred, intentional time.

• A crystal or stone - quartz, selenite, green aventurine for spring, or whatever you are drawn to. Hold it during the intention portion of your practice.
• Fresh flowers, a budding branch, or a small plant - to bring living spring energy into the space.
• Your journal and a pen, placed nearby and ready.
• A small dish of water -symbolic of your liquid crystalline interior and of the season's moisture.
• Any personal objects of meaning - photographs, heirlooms, symbols of what you are growing toward.

You may anoint your wrists, temples, or sternum, diffuse into the air, or simply inhale from the bottle. Choose one or a simple blend that calls to you.

• Frankincense - deeply grounding, opens meditative states, and has been used in spiritual practice for thousands of years. It speaks to the body's deeper wisdom.
• Eucalyptus or Pine - clearing, brightening, and forest-fresh. Opens the breath and the energy field.
• Bergamot - uplifting, calming, and distinctly spring-like. It carries light.
• Sandalwood - warm, grounding, and centring. Especially good if you feel scattered before beginning.
• Rose or Geranium - heart-opening and soft. Especially resonant for the intention-planting portion of the practice.
• Lemon or Grapefruit - citrus in early spring mirrors the lightening season. Bright, clarifying, and energizing without overstimulating.

❤Before anything else, simply arrive. Sit or stand in your chosen space. Let your eyes soften or close. Take three slow, full breaths and with each one let your shoulders drop a little further, your jaw unclench a little more, and your weight settle deeper into the earth beneath you.

You do not need to be anywhere other than here. You do not need to feel any particular way. Just arrive, exactly as you are.

When you feel settled, light your herb bundle, candle, or incense. Move the smoke or scent gently around the room, around your objects, and around your own body from feet to crown. As you do, breathe slowly.

You might hold a simple intention as you move the smoke: I release what I no longer need. I welcome what is coming. I open to this season. Let the words be felt rather than just spoken.

Smell is the most direct pathway to the limbic brain - the oldest, most instinctive part of you. It will begin to shift your state before you consciously try to.

❤Stand or sit with your feet flat on the floor or the earth. Feel the weight of your body - the density of your bones, your hydroxyapatite lattice, your living mineral structure. Imagine your skeleton as a crystal pillar, rooted downward through the soles of your feet, through the floor, through foundation and stone and soil, down into the deep body of the earth.

When you are ready, allow yourself to receive. Simply be available to the signal that is already rising.

Breathe naturally and fully - whatever rhythm feels right in your body in this moment. You might try breathing in for four slow counts, holding briefly, and releasing for six. Or simply long, slow, complete breaths. Follow what your body asks for and release what your body does not need.

With each exhale, visualize the heaviness, the contraction, the compression of winter moving downward through your body and releasing back into the earth. You are not discarding it - you are releasing it. Returning it to the source that knows how to transform it.

With each inhale, allow something lighter to enter. Not forced. Simply available. The way a room fills with fresh air when the window is opened.

Stay with this breath as long as it calls you. When your body sighs, softens, or settles noticeably, you are ready to continue.

❤Begin to gently tap or shake your body - your thighs, your sternum, your arms, your hands, the sides of your neck, the soles of your feet if you can reach them. Move intuitively. There is no wrong way to do this.

You are activating the piezoelectric charge of your collagen. Physical pressure on your connective tissue generates bioelectric signal. You are literally waking up your crystalline matrix - shaking off the compression of winter and calling your body's electrical intelligence back online. You may feel warmth, tingling, aliveness spreading through your limbs. Let it move. Let it wake you.

When you feel sufficiently present and alive in your body, come to stillness whenever you are ready.

❤Stand or sit quietly with your hands resting open and your chest soft. Visualize a clear, bright light entering your body through the crown of your head - whatever color feels most alive and true to you in this moment.

Let it flow downward. Through your skull. Through your jaw and your throat. Through your chest and your heart. Through your solar plexus, your belly, your hips, your legs. All the way down and out through the soles of your feet, releasing into the earth.

This light cleanses as it moves through you. Anywhere it finds density, heaviness, old grief, or held tension - it does not force anything out. It simply illuminates. And in being seen, in being touched by light, the heaviness softens and releases downward of its own nature.

When you feel clear - or as clear as today allows - let the visualization rest.

❤Now invite the opposite movement. Feel the energy of early spring rising from the earth beneath you - the quickening that is already moving through every root system, every seed coat, every sleeping bulb pushing toward the surface right now. That same force is available to you.

Let it rise through your feet. Through your legs and your spine. Through your belly where new growth originates. Through your heart, which knows before the mind does what it truly desires. Through your throat, ready to speak new things into the world. Through your eyes, ready to see differently.

You are not creating this energy. You are receiving it. You are a crystal. Your nature is to resonate - not to generate, not to force. Simply be available, and let the season's rising fill you.

Stay here as long as you wish. Breathing. Receiving. Filling slowly and completely.

❤When you are ready, place both hands over your solar plexus - the area of your upper abdomen. This is your body's power center, the place where personal will and universal energy meet.

This is planting season. The earth does not interrogate the seed or ask whether it is worthy. It simply receives what is placed within it and gives everything it has to the growing.

❤Ask yourself quietly: What is the one true thing I am calling into growth this spring? Not a task. Not a goal. A living, breathing thing - a quality of being, a direction, a dream that has been waiting in the dark all winter for the light to return.

When it arises - hold it not as a thought but as a felt sense. Let it drop below the level of the mind and into your body's water, your liquid crystalline interior. Let it resonate there the way a tuning fork resonates in a room long after it has been struck.

When you feel the intention has been received - there is often a sense of settling, of something landing - rest your hands and breathe.

❤If possible, turn to face where the sun is - even through clouds, even through walls. Your pineal gland, your circadian system, your light-sensitive tissues know where it is without being told.

Early spring light is shifting in wavelength day by day as the sun rises higher and stays longer. Your biology is already responding to this whether or not you are consciously present to it. This moment is an invitation to be consciously present to what is already happening in you.

Simply receive the light. Let it touch your closed eyelids. Let your crystalline inner ear, your structured water, your mineral bones register the turning. You do not need to do anything with this. You only need to let it in.

Stay as long as you wish.

❤When you are ready -begin to return to the room.

Wiggle your fingers. Wiggle your toes. Take a long, slow breath and let it release completely. Let your eyes open softly, without rushing, allowing the light to come back gradually.

Reach for your tea or your lemon water and take a slow sip. Feel its warmth or brightness moving through you. This is a grounding act - it returns the experience into the physical, seals it in the body, and signals gently that you are back in ordinary time.

Sit quietly for a moment and simply notice how you feel. Not compared to how you expected to feel. Just how you actually feel, right now, in this body, in this moment. That is always worth knowing.

Before you move into the rest of your day, open your journal. Make note of anything you experienced, or didn't, your intention/s and how you felt during the practice.

Witchcraft in the Church

Therefore Mary, having taken a litra of fragrant oil of pure nard, of great price, anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. John 12:3

Spiritual growth often leads us to uncomfortable places. It asks us to lay down our preconceptions and press deeper into God’s truth, even when it challenges what we’ve always been taught.

If you’ve ever felt a Holy unease with the common church teachings on “witchcraft,” you’re not alone. That tug on your heart isn’t rebellion, it’s often the Holy Spirit inviting you to look deeper.

So let’s set aside the fear and the folklore and look squarely at what the Bible actually says.

The modern image of a “witch” a woman with a crystal ball or healing herbs is not found in the original languages of the Bible. The words used are far more specific.

The Hebrew Word Kashaph

The Hebrew word translated as “witch” or “sorceress” is mekhashepha from the root kashaph. Its core meaning is to whisper a spell (like a curse the new testament talks about "that person will always be this or that" is a blatant curse), to enchant, to use magick (what is magick?  Our divine life force and free will) for the purpose of harming, manipulating, or controlling others. Crucially, it is linked to the use of drugs or poisons to cause harm.

Exodus 22:18: “You shall not permit a mekhashepha to live.” This is not about a woman using herbs for healing; it’s a command against someone who uses poisonous magick to deceive and harm the community.

The Greek Word Pharmakeia

This is the most common word in the New Testament for “sorcery,” and it’s where we get our word “pharmacy.” Pharmakeia means the use of drugs, potions, or spells, sorcery that often involves poisoning, intoxication, and manipulation. (Sounds like modern day pharma & psychology)

Examples: Galatians 5:19-21: Paul lists the “acts of the flesh,” including “idolatry and pharmakeia.” It is grouped with sins of manipulation, hatred, and division. Revelation 21:8: “…the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” Pharmakeia is listed among those who are ultimately opposed to God’s kingdom. Revelation 18:23: The merchants of Babylon deceived all the nations by their pharmakeia.

The biblical condemnation is not against objects, but against intent. It targets the use of spiritual means or substances to manipulate, control, deceive, or harm others. It is the opposite of the Spirit’s fruit: love, kindness, and self-control

This is where it gets interesting. If the Bible isn’t condemning objects, but the heart behind their use, let’s see how God Himself uses these very things.

The Bible is filled with sacred crystals and stones, and God loves them. They are used to represent His holiness and glory.

The High Priest’s Breastplate (Exodus 28:15-21): God commanded it to be made with twelve specific gemstones—sardius, topaz, emerald, sapphire, etc.—to represent the tribes of Israel. This was a sacred tool for discernment and connection to God.

The New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:18-21): The foundations of God’s holy city are made of twelve precious stones. The city itself is “pure gold, as pure as glass.”

God’s Throne (Revelation 4:3): Is described as having the appearance of jasper and carnelian.

God doesn’t condemn crystals; He adorns His throne and His holy city with them.

While seeking guidance from evil sources is condemned (Deuteronomy 18), God often provided His own approved methods for seeking direction.

The Urim and Thummim (Exodus 28:30): These were sacred lots, kept in the High Priest’s breastplate, used to discern God’s will for the nation. This was a form of divination sanctioned by God Himself.

Casting Lots (Acts 1:26): The apostles prayed and cast lots to decide who would replace Judas, trusting God to guide the outcome.

Reading the Stars - The Magi from the East are the prime example.

Matthew 2:1-2: “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” God used the celestial bodies—the stars—to guide these wise men to Jesus. They were not condemned for their astrological knowledge; they were rewarded with an audience with the Messiah.

Incense (sage, rosemary) is a powerful spiritual symbol throughout the Bible.

The Altar of Incense (Exodus 30): God gave detailed instructions for creating a sacred blend of incense to be burned before Him perpetually. It represented the prayers of the saints rising to Heaven.

Revelation 5:8: The twenty-four elders hold “gold bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.”

The biblical concept of “sorcery” (pharmakeia) is less about magickal props and more about a spirit of manipulation and control. It manifests in attitudes and actions that are sadly common, even in religious settings.

Gossip and Slander (Proverbs 16:28): Using words to poison relationships and destroy reputations.

Manipulation and Control: Using fear, guilt, or doctrine to control others’ behavior, rather than leading them to freedom in Christ.

Selfish Ambition and Division (James 3:14-16): The Bible says this kind of jealousy and rivalry is “earthly, unspiritual, demonic.”

Religious Deception (2 Corinthians 11:13-15): When people “masquerade as apostles of Christ” to lead others astray for their own gain.

Look at the list in Galatians 5:19-21 again. Pharmakeia (sorcery) is right alongside “hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy.” These are all fruits of the same poisonous root.

Jesus gave us the ultimate litmus test: “By their fruit you will recognize them” (Matthew 7:16).

The “fruit of the Spirit” is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

The truth isn’t meant to divide us from God, but to draw us closer to His heart—a heart that values love, freedom, and a sincere spirit above all else.

And as Christ said: “Whoever is not against us is for us” (Mark 9:40). The standard is fruit, not fear. The measure is love, not lists made by men.

A Moment to Breathe and Receive

Before you close this page, take a moment to create sacred space and receive.

Prepare your space and intention:

Light a candle, remembering that Christ is the Light of the World (John 8:12). Let its flame represent the Holy Spirit’s presence with you.

If you have anointing oil—perhaps frankincense, myrrh, or spikenard like Mary used—anoint your forehead, your hands, or your heart. Remember: this isn’t superstition. It’s a physical act of consecration, just as the priests were anointed (Exodus 30:30), just as Jesus Himself was anointed (Luke 4:18).

If you have a crystal or stone that speaks to you—perhaps a piece of jasper, amethyst, or clear quartz—hold it in your hand. Feel its weight. Remember that the very foundations of God’s eternal city are made of such stones (Revelation 21:19-20). They are of the earth, and the earth is the Lord’s (Psalm 24:1).

Burn some incense or sage, apple leaves etc if you wish, letting the smoke rise like the prayers of the saints before God’s throne (Revelation 5:8).

Now, breathe:

Close your eyes if you feel led.

Breathe in deeply as you hear these words from Philippians 1:6:

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”

Breathe out any fear, any shame, any teaching that has made you feel distant from God’s heart.

Breathe in His truth, His love, His invitation to grow deeper.

Breathe out religion. Breathe in relationship.

Breathe out control. Breathe in freedom.

Breathe out judgment. Breathe in grace.

Rest in this: God is not afraid of your questions. He is not threatened by your growth. He is the One who initiated it. And He will see it through to completion, not through fear and restriction, but through love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

The work He began in you is good. And it is ongoing.

When you’re ready, open your eyes. Blow out the candle, or let it burn as an offering. Carry the peace you’ve received into your day.

Walk forward in peace. Walk forward in truth. Walk forward in love.
